About Me
Finding the right fit with a therapist can feel challenging. My hope is that this brief introduction gives you a sense of who I am, how I work, and help you decide if we could be a good fit in working together.
My approach to therapy is warm, relational, and collaborative. I tailor sessions to your needs, and strive to bring empathy, presence, and curiosity as we explore the patterns, experiences, and longings that shape your life. I believe therapy is most powerful when it honors your unique identity and strengths, and makes space for parts of you that may have been silenced or exiled.
I specialize in working with trauma & complex trauma, attachment wounds, shame, anxiety, depression, identity exploration, burnout, and life transitions. I work well with those who have felt like outsiders, who are seeking to find a sense of belonging, both internally and in the outside world. My practice is affirming, and may be a good fit for those who identify as neurodivergent, highly sensitive / deep feelers, misfits or outsiders.
I hold a Master’s in Counseling Psychology from the Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California, where I studied depth psychology. My work integrates story and narratives, dreams, somatic awareness, and ecopsychology (the healing connection between humans and the natural world.)
Prior to becoming a therapist, I spent over 20 years in the business world before answering this call. When I’m outside the therapy office, I can be found exploring nature (camping, hiking, kayaking), making music (I play the upright and the electric bass, and some guitar), cooking nourishing food with my family, or playing with George, our fiesty but loving Chihuahua mix.
